Francisco Casanova hails from the city of Santa Cruz del Seibo in the Dominican Republic, the youngest of a musical family, all of whom sang and played an instrument. He studied singing at the National Conservatory of Music of Santo Domingo with tenor Rafael Sánchez-Cestero, and since 1990 with famous Italian tenor Maestro Pier Miranda Ferraro of Milan, known as the great interpreter of Otello, amongst many other roles.

Praised for his expressive bel-canto style, Francisco Casanova has sang for 25 years in the great theaters of the world. He was honored with the Beniamino Gigli d’Oro (Recanati 2004) and the Beniamino Gigli d'Oro (Helsinki 2007), being the first non-Italian singer ever to receive this particular award.

Francisco Casanova is a frequent guest artist in the major opera houses of the world, appearing at the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala in Milan, the Vienna Staatsoper, the Israeli Opera and the opera houses of Oviedo, Gijón, Dresden, Mallorca, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Bologna, Vilnius, Bilbao, Genoa, Las Palmas among many others.

On December 15 come join us an be delighted of operatic music by el Maestro Francisco Casanova & his friends Brianne & Yumi.

Soprano, Brianne Rebekah Roney made her solo debut with Rimrock Opera in Billings, Montana as Flora in La Traviata. Most recently, she sang the title role in Tosca with Valley Lyric Opera in Sharpsville, PA.

Performances include Madama Goldentrill in The Impresario, the Witch in Hansel and Gretel, Tisbe in La Cenerentola, the Mother in Amahl and The Night Visitors, Laeticia in The Old Maid and The Thief. Concert credits include alto soloist in Handel’s Messiah and soprano soloist in Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Hodie. Ms. Roney has placed in the Rocky Mountain Regional Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. A Wyoming native, Roney attended Montana State University-Billings on a full-ride tennis scholarship where she earned her degree in Vocal Performance. Ms. Roney taught at Northwest College in Wyoming after graduate studies at the University of Wyoming before moving to New York City where she studies with Maestro Francisco Casanova.



Born in Southern California, pianist Yumi Hashimoto has performed as a soloist, collaborative pianist and vocal accompanist all around Southern California and New York City.

With a passion for vocal music and musical theater, Yumi has worked as an accompanist from an early age, directing musical theater productions in high schools and community theaters and has been working extensively with classical singers in the last several years all around New York City. Yumi holds a Masters Degree in classical piano from the Manhattan School of Music and Bachelor's Degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
