Dear friends,
The Republic of Kosova is heading to new snap elections on the 14th of February, 2021.
These elections come after the recent verdict of the Constitutional Court, regarding the legitimacy of Avdullah Hoti’s Government, voted on the 3rd of June 2020. The Constitutional Court has stated that Hoti’s Government was not voted by the majority of MP’s (61/120), since one of the MP’s that voted was already sentenced to over a year in prison by the Court of Appeals on corruption charges. This means that for seven months Kosova has been governed by an illegitimate and unconstitutional Government.
The unconstitutional Government formed by the right-wing, EPP member, LDK was established after overthrowing the social-democratic and reformist Government lead by Albin Kurti of Lëvizja VETËVENDOSJE!. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, when our society was in need of the exemplary management by the Kurti Government, LDK in coordination with the other parties from the old elites, assisted by an intensive fake news agenda (which was also reported in the European Parliament: https://www.europarl.europa.
Now that we’re heading to new elections, there is a major political shift in support of the social-democratic and reformist policies presented by Lëvizja VETËVENDOSJE!. Our organization has grown to be the biggest one in the country and the most recent polls show that the electoral support is over 50%. Despite this, we are working tirelessly in every village and neighborhood to keep in touch with and organize our citizens, and we are upgrading and updating our policies in order to bring reforms, development and welfare to them. The key words of our governance will be Jobs and Justice.
We hope that in this new struggle we will have the support of our sister-parties in the Progressive Alliance, as we believe that progress in our era is not sustainable without international cooperation and solidarity.

Ahora que nos dirigimos a nuevas elecciones, hay un cambio político importante en apoyo a las políticas socialdemócratas y reformistas presentadas por Lëvizja VETËVENDOSJE !. Nuestra organización ha crecido hasta convertirse en la más grande del país y las últimas encuestas muestran que el apoyo electoral supera el 50%. A pesar de esto, trabajamos incansablemente en cada aldea y barrio para mantenernos en contacto y organizar a nuestros ciudadanos, y estamos mejorando y actualizando nuestras políticas para llevarles reformas, desarrollo y bienestar. Las palabras clave de nuestra gobernanza serán Empleo y Justicia.
